Did You Know? Elephants Can't Jump!
Elephants are the only mammals that can't jump — but they can do something amazing instead!
Elephants Can’t Jump! 🐘
Here’s a surprising fact: elephants are the only mammals on Earth that cannot jump!
Their legs are designed to support their massive weight (up to 14,000 pounds!), but they’re built more like pillars — strong and sturdy, not springy. But don’t feel bad for them — elephants can swim, and they’re surprisingly great at it! They’ve been spotted swimming for miles across rivers and lakes.
Color & Discover 🎨
When coloring an elephant, try adding a river or lake in the background. Ask your kids: “If elephants can’t jump, how do you think they cross over things?”
Fun challenge: Draw an elephant doing the thing it IS best at — maybe swimming, painting, or giving a mud bath! 🎨
