Terms & conditions

Welcome to Little Chubby Press. These terms govern your use of our website littlechubbypress.com, the associated community (reviews, gallery, giveaways, peanuts and tickets), and the emails we send. By creating an account or taking part in the community, you confirm you have read and accept these terms.

1. Acceptance

By signing up, submitting a review, subscribing to the newsletter or claiming peanuts/tickets, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree with any part, please do not use the app.

2. Who can register

  • You must be 18 or older and the family adult (parent, grandparent, legal guardian) managing the account. You confirm this with a checkbox at sign-up.
  • The little ones in the family can join you (read the books, pick coloring pages, help with the review), but the account stays under the responsible adult.
  • A person may only have one account. Duplicate accounts created to farm peanuts/tickets count as fraud.
  • The information you provide (email, display name, address if applicable) must be truthful and kept up to date.

3. Community rules

When uploading content (review, photo, message, avatar, display name) you agree to:

  • No spam or unauthorized third-party advertising.
  • No offensive language, hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual or violent content.
  • No uploading copyrighted material that is not yours (e.g. photos of books other than ours, unlicensed stock images, protected characters). Review photos must show your physical or digital copy of our books.
  • No impersonation or use of other people's data.
  • No attempting to game the peanut, ticket, giveaway or leaderboard system through fake accounts, automation, or bug exploitation.
  • No sharing personal information about minors in public reviews or messages.

We reserve the right to refuse, edit or remove content that breaks these rules, with or without notice. Moderation decisions are final.

4. Peanuts and tickets (symbolic currency)

  • Peanuts and tickets are virtual, symbolic and have no monetary value. They are not money, do not represent debt, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • They are earned for free (approved reviews, daily streaks, bonuses, downloads, referrals).
  • They are spent inside the app (downloads, cosmetic badges, boosts, extra giveaway entries).
  • They are non-transferable outside the platform and cannot be sold to third parties.
  • If we detect fraud, automated activity, or bug exploitation, we may reverse peanuts/tickets and suspend or delete the account. This does not give a right to compensation.
  • If we shut down the app or end the program, symbolic balances expire with no refund (we would give at least 30 days' notice).

5. Reviews and user content

Reviews, photos and messages you post in the gallery remain yours. By uploading them, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce and adapt them inside the app and for marketing materials related to Little Chubby Press (social media, newsletter, community thank-you page). This license survives account deletion for already published materials; however, we will take them down on explicit request sent by email.

You warrant that you hold all necessary rights over what you upload and that you do not infringe third-party rights (copyright, likeness, trademark). You are responsible for the content you publish.

6. Giveaways

  • Entry is free. Tickets are earned through normal use of the app; we never ask for payment.
  • The draw is random among valid tickets for the month.
  • The winner is notified by email. If they do not reply within the stated window, we reserve the right to draw another winner.
  • Prizes can be digital (downloads, extra peanuts) or physical (books). Physical prizes are shipped only to the address provided by the winner and to countries we can ship to.
  • We do not guarantee a minimum value or a minimum number of winners.

7. Suspension and cancellation for abuse

We may suspend or cancel your account immediately if:

  • You break these terms or the community rules.
  • We detect fraud in peanuts, tickets or giveaways.
  • We receive a credible legal complaint (copyright, harassment, child protection).
  • You use the platform for illegal activities.

You can cancel your account at any time from your profile (section "Privacy & data" → "Delete my account"). Your profile, reviews, photos and symbolic balances vanish immediately from the app; backup copies are purged within a maximum of 30 days. Before deleting, you can download a copy of your data from the same section.

8. Limitation of liability

Little Chubby Press is provided "as is", without explicit guarantees of continuous availability or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, data loss, or service interruptions.
  • We are not liable for content uploaded by other users (reviews, photos, messages), although we moderate in good faith.
  • We are not liable for the content of external sites linked from ours (Amazon, social media, provider policies).
  • Our total liability, where it cannot be excluded by law, is limited to the monetary amount you have paid (normally zero, since participation is free).

Nothing in these terms limits liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, or anything the law does not allow to be excluded.

9. Changes to the service

We may modify, temporarily suspend or discontinue features of the app when needed for technical, legal or strategic reasons. We will try to give reasonable advance notice of material changes (by email or an in-app banner).

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the country where Little Chubby Press operates, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. Any dispute will preferably be resolved amicably by email; if not possible, before the competent courts.

11. Changes to these terms

We review this page every 2 weeks during the active development phase. When there are material changes, we update the date at the top and, if they affect you directly, we notify you by email or with an in-app banner. If you keep using the app after a change, you are deemed to accept it.
